A Few Feral Friends

A few feral friends at the local flooded field this evening.Haven't visited here as often as i would like but on the few occasions i have i get the feeling that something of interest will pop in.
Also present this evening 83 Canada geese 16 lapwing and 2 snipe.

Not Much Doing

Pretty quiet this weekend with just a couple of moths and butterflies to id.Got no ideas what these few are.Had a look on the Internet at some moth sites but with millions of moths to go through i gave up.

Any moth and butterfly experts out there.

News came out of this little gem at the Gower this afternoon.Two of us headed straight down at 6pm after work,and after some marvelous directions over the phone we were guide straight in and could see it from the car.
We did get out of the car and had cracking views down to about 50 foot from a right little show off.

A Week In Portugal

A weeks family holiday at Vilamora Portugal with 3 early mornings birding throw in.Sites visited were the Rio Formosa,Quinta Do Lago and a morning around the villa at Boliquime.Highlights being Golden Oriole , Common Waxbill , Woodchat Shrike , Melodious Warbler , Sardinian Warbler , Nightjar , Red Rumped Swallow , Hoopoe , Crested Lark , Bee-Eater , Audouins Gull , Kentish Plover , Black Winged Stilt , Purple Swamp Hen , Glossy Ibis , Greater Flamingo , Cattle Egret , Azure Winged Magpie and white Stork.
