Boat Lane Marsh

This little beauty was floating around the fields this morning for at least 40 minutes.Didn't come close enough for anything half decent photo wise.Thousands of Lapwing a warehouse full of black tailed godwit and a shed full of grey Plover.Looks like the Green Winged Teal is back at Goldcliff
and the Glaucous Gull has been seen at Magor Pill.Lots of Little Gulls being reported down south today.Anyway what is it with Gwent Locations?I visited Llandegfedd Ynysyfro and Newport Tip recently.Llandegfedd you cant view the roost from the fishermans car Park after 4pm due to the gates being locked.Ynysyfro res Gates Locked permanently. And Newport Tip Thousands of Gulls but all out of view from the other side of the river.Never mind you still got to try.Quitters never win and winners never quit.

Waunafon

A quick visit over the weekend just to pick up the shorties. Not much else just a few Scramblers tearing up the Moorland.
This was the more typical view.

County First

I Know its not exactly a Cretzschmar's Bunting,Brown Flycatcher or Siberian Thrush but still pretty exciting to find a first for your county.
