Found this place on google earth,next to a sewage works 5 or so minutes from the front door.20 tufted ,2 GC Grebes,1 Little Grebe and 1 Kingfisher the other night.Must pop in from time to time you never know.

Birthday Celebrations
Birthday Celebrations this evening came in the form of a Common Scoter at Llandegfedd Reservoir.By the way it felt more like mid winter than mid summer.

Menorca
A family break to Menorca with a few mornings birding thrown in.The thing that surprised me was you didn't have to look far for anything as there were birds everywhere.I ventured out a few afternoons but it was way to hot and the heat haze was down to a few yards.

Here We Go
A quick look off the dam at Llandegfedd res this morning produced 23 Common Sands pottering around.Apart from these it was rather quite.
Highlights
Highlight at the pools yesterday was this Med Gull,a few Green Sands and the Ruddy Shelducks.

Start of a influx of wild birds due to food shortages caused by drought in there breeding areas or fence hoppers enjoying there freedom.
